Between Thoughts

arose from the need to find balance between thinking and feeling.
The portrait shows a moment where someone is still  not literally, but internally.
A brief silence between thoughts.

The colours green and orange provide tension and energy, but also peace.
The contrast between the portrait and the background shows how different layers can reinforce each other, without one dominating the other.

While painting, I was looking for that point where the image says enough, without wanting to explain everything.
It is a work about presence, about the space between action and reflection.
